Sybert joins Tri-State Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine
Butler County native Dr. Michael W. Sybert, M.D., has joined Tri-State Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine as a surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement, revision and reconstruction, as well as a variety of general orthopaedic conditions and work-related injuries.
Sybert recently completed the yearlong Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction Fellowship at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute at New York University.
He completed his five-year orthopaedic surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and served as the resident team physician for Moon Area High School, evaluating and caring for student athletes with a variety of sports-related injuries.
Sybert earned his medical degree in 2016 at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, where he developed a strong interest in orthopaedics, published papers on pediatric elbow fractures and became a leader of the orthopaedic surgery interest group.
He earned his bachelor of science degree in biology from Penn State University in 2012. During that time, he earned four national collegiate medals in the Korean martial art of taekwondo, a place on the U.S. collegiate all-star team and the title of Penn State Male Club Athlete of the Year his senior year.
The 2008 graduate of Mars Area High School is the son of Donna and Steven Sybert of Middlesex Township. He resides in Pittsburgh.
Tri-State Orthopaedics has offices in Seven Fields, North Hills, Robinson Township and Fox Chapel.
