These items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
Aug. 12 — Lawrence L. Attisano, 35, of Mars, was charged with misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats and simple assault after police said he hit his wife and threatened her during an Aug. 10 incident at their home.
Aug. 12 — Charles W. Arblaster Jr., 22, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI, possessing an offensive weapon and possessing drug paraphernalia after a police stop Aug. 9 in front of Mars Area High School. Police said Arblaster was argumentative and refused field sobriety tests; they noted there were open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. Police said they later found brass knuckles and marijuana paraphernalia. Arblaster later agreed to a breath test, and his blood-alcohol content was 0.137%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.
5:57 p.m. Aug. 13 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 422. Police said a vehicle driven by Julia Davis, 22, of Greensburg, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Donna Graham, 63, of Homer City. No injuries were reported.
12:02 p.m. Aug. 11 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 356 at Point Plaza. Police said Carol Gustic, 74, of Butler, ran a red light and hit a vehicle driven by Alina Zaidi, 18, of Sewickley. Both Zaidi and her passenger were taken by ambulance to the hospital for evaluation of injuries.
Aug. 15 — Amber L. Sheldone, 26, of New Castle, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after police investigated a single-vehicle crash July 10 on Interstate 79 North, Muddy Creek Township. Police said Sheldone was taken by ambulance to the hospital for her injuries. A later blood test showed marijuana and prescription drugs in her system, as well as a blood-alcohol content of 0.082%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.
Aug. 15 — Aaron C. Kudamik IV, 41, of West Sunbury, was charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence after police investigated a single-vehicle crash Oct. 16 on Kiester House Road, Slippery Rock Township. Police received a report of a man walking away from the crash, and they later found Kudamik laying in a ditch along Carrara Road. Field sobriety tests showed Kudamik was impaired, and a later breath tests showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.13%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.
3:56 p.m. Aug. 12 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Chicora Road near Leitem Lane, Oakland Township. Police said Heather M. Miller, 47, of Fenelton, was cited after her vehicle hit the rear of another vehicle driven by Jerry E. Ruggles, 56, of Butler. Ruggles was taken to the hospital for evaluation of injuries.
11:10 a.m. Aug. 10 — Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on West Sunbury Road, Clay Township. Police said Alfred B. Deal, 65, of Callensburg, had veered off the road and hit an embankment. Police said Deal suffered serious bodily injury and was flown to Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Deal was cited for careless driving.
4:02 a.m. Aug. 9 — Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Victory Road at its intersection with Spring Valley Road, Clinton Township and discovered the driver, Lucas R. Simpson, 18, of Tarentum, had fled the scene. Police said Simpson lost control of the vehicle, hit a guide rail and the vehicle landed on a creek bank. Simpson was cited for careless driving.
