Cranberry Twp

Aug. 1 — Anita P. Alsagheer, 60, of Coraopolis, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft after police said she stole about $300 worth of items from Walmart.

Slippery Rock

Aug. 1 — Guy B. Simons, 47, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after police said they stopped him April 30 in the Dunkin' parking lot. Police said field sobriety tests showed Simons was impaired, and a later blood test showed marijuana in his system.

SRU

Aug. 1 — Brandon L. Podobensky, 29, of Grove City, was charged with misdemeanor failure to use Interlock ignition after police said they stopped him July 27 on Kiester Road, Slippery Rock. Police said Podobensky is required to drive with an Interlock system, which requires a breath test before driving, and it was not installed in the vehicle.

State Police, Butler

Aug. 2 — Cory M. Godlewski, 25, of Cabot, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after police said they stopped him July 2 on Route 422 East. Police said field sobriety tests showed Godlewski was impaired, and a later blood test showed he had marijuana in his system and a blood-alcohol content of 0.121%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

Aug. 2 — Gregory Kuban, 47, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI and drug possession after police said they investigated a June 18 motorcycle crash on Kittanning Pike, Parker Township. Police said Kuban had to be flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for his injuries, where a later blood test showed fentanyl, cocaine and marijuana in his system. Police said hospital staff also found him possessing a bag of suspected cocaine.

Aug. 2 — Charles G. Petredis Jr., 39, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after police said they stopped him July 16 on West Sunbury Road, Center Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Petredis was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.135%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

Aug. 2 — William L. Schall, 50, of Grove City, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after police said they investigated a disturbance at a home on Middendorf Street, Marion Township. Police said while investigating, they found Schall in his vehicle and suspected him of drinking. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.162%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

Aug. 2 — Joshua E. Schreffler, 36, of Butler Township, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after police said they stopped him July 4 on St. Joe Road, Oakland Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Schreffler was impaired, and he later refused to have his blood tested.

Aug. 1 — Dean W. King, 33, of Harrisville, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after police said they stopped him May 11 near the intersection of Lions and South Benbrook roads, Center Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed King was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.212%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is the legal limit.

Aug. 1 — Ronald A. Schiavo, 66, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment after police said he caused an injury to his 4-year-old grandson on July 22 in Moraine Camplands. Police said the boy was unsecured and playing in the cargo area of Schiavo’s SUV when he fell from the vehicle. Police said boy’s leg was run over, causing a severe injury. The boy was taken to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Aug. 1 — Cortney A. Scott, 30, of Clarion, was charged with misdemeanor counts of drug and paraphernalia possession after police said they found crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in her purse during a May 30 traffic stop on New Castle Road, Prospect.
