Double

Patricia A. “Annie” Double, 62, of Butler, passed away on Aug. 9, 2022, at her home.

She was born Sept. 28, 1959, in San Angelo, Texas, to Terry C. Craig and Nancy L. Rieck Craig.

Patricia graduated from Freeport Area High School in 1977.

She retired from Armco/AK Steel in 2014 after 36 years of service, and finished her career as a clerk in the hot mill.

Patricia had a huge heart and would drop everything to help someone in need. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Crafting and re-purposing antiques were her favorite activities, but her biggest joy came from doting on the “light of her life,” her 5-year-old granddaughter, Evelyn.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald R. Double, whom she married on Feb. 14, 2001; one son, Sam Doctor and his wife, Devin, of Butler; one daughter, Sarah Doctor of Butler; one granddaughter, Evelyn Doctor; her parents, Terry C. and Nancy L. Craig of Cooksburg, Pa.; one stepdaughter, Nikki Laufer and her husband, Jeff, of Georgia; two stepgrandchildren, Tiara and Jadda Laufer; one sister, Heather Craig and her partner, Tim Baer, of Slate Lick; two brothers, Mark Craig and his wife, Michele, of Worthington, and Pete Craig of Jacksonville, Fla.; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

DOUBLE — Friends of Patricia A. “Annie” Double, who died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

Funeral services will immediately follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
