The North Boundary Championship Disc Golf Course in Cranberry Township will be the site of the Butler County Disc Golf Classic Sept. 9-11.
The tournament will include 140 of the best men and women disc golfers competing for the championship and a $25,000 purse.
The event, sponsored by Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau, will be hosted by Pittsburgh Flying Disc and Cranberry Township.
Bantams headed to Mylec Cup
By sweeping the Penn Hills Warlocks in a three-game series on Sunday, the Butler Bantams earned themselves a spot in September’s Mylec Cup. They also move on to the conference championship in the second tier of the National Ball Hockey League’s Pittsburgh division.
Six different Butler players netted goals over the two semifinal games. Bekk McClaine led the team’s scoring by notching three markers.
The Mylec Cup will be held in Marlton, N.J. from September 23-25.
