Harmony Christmas in July returns
Holiday spirit will be back in the town of Harmony this weekend as the Christmas in July event returns for a second year.
The event, run by the Harmony Business Association, will feature holiday-themed activities, specials and items in local businesses along Main Street and around Harmony.
“Our first one was last year, and it was such a huge success that we decided to make it an annual event,” said Kelly Scott, owner of Harmonie Laden and vice president of the business association. “Multiple businesses within Harmony will be having more Christmas items in their stores. There are sales and specials, and raffles in some locations.”
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, vendors will set up shop along Mercer Street in Harmony, and a children’s tent with free children’s Christmas activities will be open.
Over 1,000 visitors attended the festivities last year, Scott said.
“I always celebrated it at my store, and then I was like, let’s make this a town event and get everyone involved,” Scott said. “Everyone was on board and enjoyed it.”
