A storm drenched the Butler Farm Show the night of Aug. 6, 1968, damaging some of the facilities and even carrying a tent about 25 feet before it landed on tables.
Despite the storms, 15,000 people reportedly attended the event, including the children trying out the Allectric car ride supplied by the West Penn Power Company.
This year’s farm show is scheduled Aug. 8 to 13 at the farm show grounds, 625 Evans City Road.
