Police Reports

The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

Buffalo Twp

July 11 — Percy Guilky, 54, and Rosselyn Brace, 52, both of Butler, were charged with use and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said they were found July 11 passed out in a vehicle on Silverville Road.

Guilky also was charged with a misdemeanor for driving under the influence.

Police said Guilky and Brace showed signs of impairment and had traces of heroin in their systems. Police said a smoking pipe belonging to Brace was discovered during a vehicle search.

Butler City

July 8 — Brian S. Kent, 50, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said he crashed his vehicle into a pole on West Penn Street. Police said field sobriety test showed Kent was impaired, and a later blood test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.164%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

July 8 — Brian B. Quinn, 41, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanors for theft and a summary charge of public drunkenness after police said he attempted to steal a backpack from a vehicle on South Main Street. Police said Quinn communicated with the driver before attempting to steal the items valued at nearly $120.

Butler Twp

July 7 — Brian J. Miller, 33, of Slippery Rock, was charged with a misdemeanor for violating license suspension after police stopped him May 14 on Route 8. Police said he is registered as a suspended operator and was driving with an improper license plate and false inspection sticker.

July 7 — Paul J. Hilliard, 50, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanors for use and possession of drugs after police said they stopped him July 6 on Route 8. Police said he was arrested on an active warrant and was in possession of crack cocaine when searched.

July 6 — Police are asking for help in identifying a light blue Chevrolet Avalanche which was involved in a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Evans City and North Eberhart roads at 4:40 p.m. July 6.

Mars

July 5 — Luke W. Damato, 26, of Mars, was charged with seven misdemeanors including corruptions of minors, and tattooing and giving alcohol to minors after police said he tattooed two juvenile females March 21 and April 2 without parental consent. Police said Damato was drinking with the juvenile females while the tattoos were given on both occasions at his home and touched them inappropriately.

Zelienople

July 9 — Brandon E. Kline, 29, of Zelienople, was charged with a misdemeanor for terroristic threats and summary charges harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after police said he caused a disturbance at 3B’s Lounge, threatening the owner and yelling at officers and customers leaving the restaurant.

Slippery Rock

July 11 — David F. Holzer, 27, of Slippery Rock, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said he crashed his motorcycle May 14 on Franklin Street. Police said a later blood test showed Holzer’s blood-alcohol content at 0.158%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Cody L. Yoho, 31, of Butler, was charged with a misdemeanor for his involvement in the crash involving David F. Holzer, 27, of Slippery Rock. Police said Holzer’s vehicle hit Yoho’s motorcycle in the rear, causing a crash that injured Holzer’s head and arm. Yoho left the scene before the police arrived, according to security footage viewed by police.

State Police, Butler

July 7 — Ian M. Moore, 26, of Butler, was charged with a misdemeanor DUI after police said he crashed his vehicle into a horse crossing the road June 17 on Hindman Road, Fairview Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Moore was impaired, and he told police he had taken antihistamine prior to driving but would not submit to chemical testing.
