Robert A. McGraw III, 50, of Slippery Rock, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 10, 2022.

Born on Dec. 28, 1971, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Alberta and the late Robert A. McGraw II.

Bob proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, from 1995 to 1999. He had been a Pennsylvania State trooper for seven years.

He was the women’s basketball coach for Slippery Rock University for the past eight seasons.

Surviving are his mother, Alberta Henry McGraw, of Wexford; his son, Reed Scott McGraw, of Butler; a brother, Shane (Shannon) McGraw, of Saxonburg; and a sister, Misty Steinsdoersfer, of Wexford. He is also survived by five nieces and one nephew.

MCGRAW — Friends and family of Robert A. McGraw III, who died Sunday, July 10, 2022, will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

A service for family and close friends will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
