HARRISVILLE — Small towns across the nation put on parades and festivities for the Fourth of July, and Harrisville is no different.

Residents of Harrisville, Grove City, Slippery Rock, Marion and other counties crowded the parade route for what Ken Miller, pastor of Harrisville United Methodist Church, described as the largest event in Harrisville all year.

People decked out in red, white and blue for the celebration which included a parade at 11 a.m. followed by food trucks, carnival games, bouncy houses and merchandise stands in the community park throughout the day.
