Garvin ends drought at Lernerville
BUFFALO TWP — Freeport graduate John Garvin picked up his first Late Model feature win in nine years Friday night at Lernerville Speedway.
Garvin started the feature up front with John Weaver and grabbed the early lead. Colton Flinner passed him on Lap 14, but brought out the caution flag on Lap 18 when the right rear wheel came pff his Longhorn Chassis. Garvin regained the lead on the restart and held on for the win.
Alex Ferree started from the 16th spot and took second. Garvin’s victory was his first at Lernerville since 2013.
In other action,. A.J. Flick took the lead during the final two laps to win the Sprint feature. Sye Lynch finished second. Chas Wolbert claimed his first career Modified win at Lernerville, beating out Dave Murdick.
Brandon Connor started up front in the Pro Stock feature and went on to snare his first feature win at the Sarver oval.
