Police Reports

The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

Buffalo Township

June 1 — Kristine Boozel, 44, of Sarver, was charged with two misdemeanors of driving under the influence after police said she rear-ended a vehicle May 31 at the intersection of South Pike and Monroe roads. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired.

Butler Township

June 6 — Scott Altman, 51, of Butler, hit a deer on McCalmont Road while traveling on his motorcycle. He was transported by Butler Ambulance Service to Allegheny General Hospital for injuries.

June 6 — Matthew Reott, 29, of Butler, received traffic citations for failing to have vehicle insurance and for having an improper license after police said he crashed his motorcycle on Litman Road.

June 1 — Mackenzie Miller, 22, of Butler, received traffic citations after police said she pulled in front of a vehicle while making a left turn and not wearing a seat belt. Both vehicles sustained damage. Miller and the other driver had minor injuries.

Middlesex Township

June 1 — Scott E. Moody, 20, of Sarver, was charged with a first offense misdemeanor DUI after police said he crashed his vehicle May 8 at the intersection of Route 8 and Dinnerbell Road. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired and a breath test read positive for alcohol.

State Police, Butler

June 1 — Reginald A. Holt, 22, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanors DUI and possessing marijuana after police said he crashed his vehicle Oct. 30, 2021, on New Castle Road in Slippery Rock Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed traces of marijuana in Holt’s system. Holt told police he had marijuana in his vehicle at the time of the accident, according to documents.

June 1 — Melissa K. Shay, 62, of Parker, was charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals and misdemeanor neglecting to feed and water animals after police said she left the residence April 28 without her dog and police found the dog dead May 3 in the home in Venango Township. Police said the dog had died of dehydration.
