Babes of Bantam trail ride marks 5th year
Babes of Bantam is hitting a milestone this year – five years of helping build women’s confidence while driving their Jeep offroad.
This trail ride was originally introduced in 2017 and has been a popular event throughout the years, many times selling out within the first month of registration.
Babes of Bantam will take place on Friday, June 10, and consists of two different sessions. This ride, capped at 100 Jeeps, is geared toward beginners.
“I think what makes this ride so special is the fact that it celebrates the women of Jeep and reminds us of how strong they truly are,” said Kristin Gaydosh, activity manager.
This event will be held at the Bantam Quarry at Kildoo, the property the Friends of the Bantam Jeep Association purchased in Portersville in 2020. It consists of easier obstacles and simple trails to create a fun, memorable experience.
Many female participants enjoy how unique this event is since it is the only all-female activity at the festival.
“We are excited to hit the five-year mark of Babes of Bantam. A few years ago we saw an opportunity to offer this beginner-style ride to help build skills and confidence on the trails and obstacles,” said Michele Anderson, festival manager.
This event originally started with 50 participants and now is up to 100 due to the interest level. The trail guides are mostly women providing an even more comfortable experience for the participants.
