Bercurys sweep featured race

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Lady Newton and Blue Ivy — trained and owned by Bill and Renee Bercury of Slippery Rock — finished first and second in the $16,000 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Pace during harness racing action Wednesday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Elsewhere on the card, Brady Brown of Slippery Rock drove Our GG to victory in a $7,500 Conditioned Pace.

Speedweek set for Lernerville

BUFFALO TWP — Western PA Sprint Speedweek comes to Lernerville Speedway Friday night for a $3,000-to-win feature event. The Late Models, Modifieds and Pro Stocks will be on the track as well for a Fab4 race card.

A.J. Flick leads the Sprint points race at Lernerville. Jared Miley and Michael Norris share the Late Model points lead while Brad Rapp and Jeremiah Shingledecker share the Modified lead.

Tyler Dietz holds the points lead in Pro Stocks with three feature wins this season.
