Police Reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
May 17 — John A. Katalinas, 26, of Callery, was charged with two first offense misdemeanors for driving under the influence after police said he showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests conducted on Burke Road. Following later blood tests, Katalinas’ blood-alcohol content level was .202%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is .08%.
May 18 — Richard A. Dematteis, 58, of Boyers, was charged with a misdemeanor DUI, a misdemeanor use and possession of drug paraphernalia and several traffic citations after police said he showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests conducted on Route 8 in Brady Township.
May 17 — Thomas D. Rowe, 59, of Saxonburg, was charged with three misdemeanor DUIs after police said he crashed his vehicle on Golden City Road in Jefferson Township. Following later blood tests, Rowe’s blood-alcohol content level was .111%, and traces of marijuana were found in his system. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is .08%.
May 17 — David P. Yednak, 31, of Cranberry Township, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said he showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests conducted on Pleasant Valley Road in Muddy Creek Township. Following blood tests, Yednak’s blood-alcohol content level was .105%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is .08%
May 17 — Tyler J. Michlich, 33, of Baden, was charged with a felony and misdemeanor theft after police said he stole someone’s vehicle from their residence after staying the night. According to charging documents, Michlich also stole a wallet, $600, a paycheck, a house key and planner.
May 17 — Anthony L. Houk, 39, of New Castle, was charged with four misdemeanor DUIs and misdemeanors possession of a controlled substance and use and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said he showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests conducted in Slippery Rock Township.
A small amount of cocaine and a glass crack smoking pipe were found in Houk’s vehicle according to police documents. Following blood tests, Houk’s blood had traces of marijuana, Cocaine and Fentanyl.
May 17 — Lucas P. Laughner, 21, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said he crashed his vehicle on Bullcreek Road in Jefferson Township. Following a breath test, Laughner’s blood-alcohol content level was .127%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is .08%.
May 17 — Jesus A. Covarrubias, 28, of Slippery Rock, was charged with a misdemeanor DUI after police said he showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests conducted on West Sunbury Road in Center Township.
May 17 — Chase A. Belsterling, 20, of McDonald, was charged with three misdemeanor DUIs and several traffic citations after police said he showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests. Following a breath test, Belsterling’s blood-alcohol content level was .16%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is .08%.
May 17 — John E. Naugle, 45, of Graceton, was charged with three misdemeanor DUIs of a controlled substance after police said he showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests conducted at the intersection of Chicora Road and Kittanning Pike in Fairview Township. Traces of THC were found in Naugle’s blood following a test.
