Sentence Court

The following defendants were sentenced Thursday in Butler County common Peas Court.

Shawn Michael Hails, 39, of Cabot, was sentenced to serve 12 to 24 months in prison followed by 36 months of probation after pleading guilty to a felony charge of failure to register with state police filed by state police on Aug. 31 for failing to appear for a verification required due to his status as a Tier 2 sexual offender under Megan’s Law. He was found to be an offender after pleading guilty to charges of unlawful contact with a minor and indecent assault of a person under age 16 filed by Middlesex Township police in August 2015.

Bryan Scott Edinger, 53, of Butler, was sentenced to serve nine to 23 months and 15 days in prison followed by 24 months of probation and pay $4,277 in restitution after pleading guilty to a charges of theft and criminal trespass filed by Butler Township police in May 2019.

Michael Lee Hodges, 39, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 to 24 months in prison but immediately was paroled to serve 13 months of house arrest followed by 36 months of probation and pay $200 in fines after pleading guilty to charges of accidents involving death or injury while unlicensed and aggravated assault by vehicle filed by Butler Township police following a Feb. 6, 2020, incident. In addition, he was sentenced to consecutively serve 36 months of probation including nine months of house arrest for violating terms of probation he was serving after pleading guilty to a charge of receiving stolen property filed by state police following a September 2017 incident.

Courtney Anne Wilson, 31, of Hilliards, was sentenced to serve one to two months in prison followed by 10 months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of false identification to law enforcement filed by state police following a November 2020 incident.

Eric Thomas Defelice, 26, of Butler, was sentenced to serve nine months of probation and pay a $2,500 fine and $541 in restitution after pleading guilty to charges of driving with a suspended license and accidents involving damage to a vehicle or property filed by Butler Township police following an April 2021 incident.

Debra Gugliuzza, 53, of Cranberry Township, was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation including 105 days of house arrest, pay fines totaling $2,500 and complete 100 hours of community service, alcohol highway safety school and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to her first and second driving under the influence offenses. Cranberry Township police filed the charges following incidents in October 2017 and June 2018. A summary traffic violation was dismissed.

Thomas Ervin Campbell, 63, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation and pay a $100 fine after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance filed by Butler Township police following an October 2021 incident.

Michael Joseph Garth, 21, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation and pay a $500 fine after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver filed by state police following a July 2020 incident.

Brittany May Wilcox, 31, of Ellwood City, was sentenced to serve six months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of recklessly endangering another person filed by state police following an April 2021 incident. Charges of DUI and summary traffic violations were dismissed.

Mandy Dawn McCall, 33, of Karns City, was sentenced to serve six months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct filed by state police following a July 2021 incident.

Kevin Tyler Whittle, 39, of Pittsburgh was sentenced to serve six months of probation and pay fines totaling $300 after pleading guilty to charges of DUI and disorderly conduct filed by Butler City police following a May 2012 incident.

Dawn Michelle Barnes, 35, of Prospect, was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation and pay $1,484 in restitution and a $100 fine after pleading guilty to charges of possession of a controlled substance and theft filed by state police following incidents in August and September 2020.

Christa Danielle Knox, 47, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 36 months of probation and pay a $500 fine after pleading guilty to a charge of retail theft filed by Butler Township police following a July 2021 incident.

John J Daniluk Jr., 44, of Butler, was sentenced to serve six months of probation including seven days of house arrest, pay a $500 fine and complete alcohol highway safety school, 40 hours of community service and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI filed by Cranberry Township police following a December 2021 incident.

William Carl Foster Jr., 56, of Greenville, was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation including 105 days of house arrest, pay a $1,500 fine and complete alcohol highway safety school, 40 hours of community service and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to his second DUI offense filed by Slippery Rock police following a November 2020 incident.

Chad Alan Wimer, 30, of Prospect, was sentenced to serve six months of probation including 14 days of house arrest, pay a $1,000 fine and complete alcohol highway safety school, 40 hours of community service and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI filed by state police following a September 2021 incident.
