Moniteau girls relay breaks school mark

CHERRY TWP — Moniteau’s girls 4x100 relay team of Allie Pry, Katelyn Reott, Camilla Passoni and Rylee Long broke the school record in a recent double-dual against Clarion-Limestone and Redbank Valley.

The quartet turned in a time of 52.8 seconds.

Brown, Schoeffel team for victory

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown and Evans City’s Steve Schoeffel teamed up for a win with horse Curry Hanover during harness racing action Wednesday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Brown drove the horse, which is trained by Schoeffel. The 3-year-old filly won a $9,000 Conditioned Trot. Virginia and Kathy Schoeffel, both of Evans City, campaign Curry Hanover.

Brown scored a second win Wednesday with Starzznstripes in her Meadows debut.
