The Butler County Community College Shaffer School of Nursing and Allied Health hosted its pinning ceremony for graduates in the nursing field May 12, where 55 students in the school were pinned by faculty members.

Other BC3 campuses also held pinning ceremonies for nursing students on different dates, according to a news release from the college.

Patty Annear, dean of the college’s Shaffer School of Nursing and Allied Health, commended the graduates for completing the program during the COVID-19 pandemic. The nursing students wore face masks or face shields and personal protective equipment throughout their studies.
