These three women were found by a Butler Eagle photographer “driving off the 11th tee” at the ARMCO Country Club in Slippery Rock in fall of 1971. The golfers, from left to right, were referred to by their husbands’ names in the Butler Eagle: Mrs. Howard Lowry and Mrs. Thomas Goodrich, of Meridian, and Mrs. Edward Platt of Center Township. The property they stand on is now the site of Slippery Rock Golf Club and Event Center, 160 Ralston Road.
