Wozniak tops SR discus standard

Slippery Rock High senior Seaton Wozniak broke the school record in the discus with a throw of 163 feet, six inches while taking first place in the event Thursday at the Mercer County Invitational in Grove City.

He also took first place in the shot put at 52-8½.

Baseball

Cooper Baxter fell a triple short of hitting for the cycle and Colin Casteel pitched five innings of one-run ball as Butler traveled to Kiski Area to close out its regular season Friday. The Golden Tornado won, 9-1, and improved their record to 14-5.

Butler didn’t lose a non-section game this year.
