Grove City commencement this weekend
Grove City College will hold its 142nd commencement this weekend, where more than 550 students will earn their bachelor’s degrees in the arts, sciences, music, and electrical and mechanical engineering.
Commencement begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday on the quad between Harbison Chapel and Crawford Hall, where a baccalaureate service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday.
Both events will be livestreamed at gcc.edu/livestream, and the location will be switched to the arena of the Physical Learning Center in the case of inclement weather.
The college will present the event’s keynote speaker, Dr. Stephen “Andy” Sems, Class of 1995, with an honorary Doctor of Science degree at commencement.
Sems is internationally known for treating those with congenital, developmental and traumatic limb deformities.
