Blanche E. (Anderson) Sell, 102, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2022, surrounded by her family at the Lund Care Center. She was a 25-year resident of Concordia at Cabot, Jefferson Township.

Blanche was born Oct. 20, 1919, and was a daughter of the late Perry and Grace Bechman Anderson.

She worked in the payroll department at Alcoa in the 1940s for nearly 10 years. She worked various retail jobs, and her last job before she retired was in sales for Fashion Bug.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sarver.

Blanche enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and canning homegrown vegetables and fruit. She was an avid volunteer at Concordia. She loved fashion and jewelry and weekly shopping trips with her daughter, Kathy. Her greatest joy was visiting with her family, especially her grandchildren, Rachel and Jared, and her grandpuppy, Tudee.

Surviving are her loving daughters, Kathy (Bill) Casey of New Kensington, and Carole (John) Emery North Ridgeville, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Rachel and Jared Emery, of North Ridgeville, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest D. Sell, whom she married on July 2, 1952; and her brothers, Glen Anderson of Slidell, La., and Leroy Anderson of Freeport.

SELL — Friends of Blanche E. (Anderson) Sell, who died Monday, May 9, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

A funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Shawn Smith officiating.

Interment will be held at Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
