Vanessa Elizabeth Morrison of Brady Township passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh following injuries sustained in a car accident.

She was born March 1, 1991, in New Castle, and was the daughter of Larry George Morrison and Sylvia Jayne Cooper Morrison. She grew up at the family home by Moraine State Park.

Her interests included the outdoors and nature, biking, running half marathons, spending time at Breakneck and McConnells Mill, and good music. She was deeply loved by her family, loved her home, and will be sadly missed.

Vanessa is survived by her mother, Sylvia, at home; her brother, Isaac (Shea Hutchinson) of Slippery Rock, along with her nephew, Finley, of Slippery Rock, Kevin Morrison of East Liverpool, Ohio, and Mark Morrison of Saxonburg; and her numerous nieces and nephews, Kyleigh and Wyatt Morrison, Amanda (James Sanderson) Guarnieri, Abel Guarnieri and Ryder Sanderson, Mark Morrison (Marcella) and Mark Andres Morrison.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry George Morrison.

MORRISON — Friends of Vanessa Elizabeth Morrison, who died Sunday, May 1, 2022, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Kail of Muddy Creek Presbyterian Church presiding.

Interment will be at West Liberty Cemetery.
