George Pann celebrated his 100th birthday Friday with quite a party. The grand event featured a petting zoo, dinner and a visit from the Cabot Cruisers car club.
The WWII Army veteran and a resident of Magnolia Place, 100 Bella Court, attributes his long life to small meals and walking.
“I was on the go all the time,” he said.
At 19-years-old, Pann was an Army gunner stationed with a coastal artillery unit on the Hawaiian island of Oahu on Dec. 7, 1941, when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor nearby.
