Armitage

Dale A. Armitage, 71, of Cecil Township, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2022.

He was born Aug. 19, 1950, in Corry, Pa., and was a son of the late Rev. Cassius and Margaret McCray Armitage.

On Nov. 3, 1973, he married Connie J. Veydt, who survives.

He was the loving father of Jill (Jason) Kowalski and the late David Armitage; father-in-law of Lauren Armitage-Bosetti (Joe Bosetti); grandfather of Emerson Kowalski, Kingston David Armitage, Elin Kowalski and Brooklyn Bosetti; brother of Joyce (Phil) Renicks, Beve (late Tom) Morton, Debby (Paul Oberst) Solari and the late Ron Armitage; and the brother-in-law of Neil (Sharrol) Veydt, Linda (Geary) Leasure and Mark (Pam) Veydt.

He also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

A devoted and longtime member of The Bible Chapel in McMurray, Dale was a retired real estate agent with Howard Hanna in McMurray.

He served as president and coach of the Cecil Baseball Association.

Dale enjoyed fishing and golfing, but above all he loved being with and coaching his grandchildren. He also volunteered his time on Friday nights, working “the sticks” for the Big Mac games.

ARMITAGE — Friends of Dale A. Armitage, who died Sunday, April 17, 2022, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at WARCHOL FUNERAL HOME, 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at The Bible Chapel, McMurray. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.

Interment will follow at Melrose Cemetery, South Fayette Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Washington City Mission or The Bible Chapel.
