Glenna Kness

Kness

Glenna L. Kness, 63, of South Buffalo Township, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Glenna was born in Natrona Heights, and was a daughter of the late Dorothy M. (Kelley) Bouch-Wright and Jack Bouch. She grew up in Winfield Township, and was a 1976 graduate of Knoch High School.

Glenna moved to Maryland and worked as a GSA contract manager with Johnson Controls for more than 40 years. She moved back to the area to care for her parents.

Glenna was an animal enthusiast. Her first pet was a lab named Charlie. She and Charlie were rarely separate and she was devastated when she passed. She adopted feral cats that she found in a shed at her home and provided them with love and care. She enjoyed feeding the numerous wildlife that surrounded her home (deer, birds and groundhogs).

Glenna enjoyed watching golf and attended the majors several times. She was very passionate about classic rock and attended numerous concerts of her favorite artists. She enjoyed spending time with her friends to just chat and catch a bite to eat.

Glenna is survived by her sisters, Leona (T.J.) Pekin and Holly (Daniel) Stitt; her friends, Kathy, Nancy and Diane, and her close friend, Wally Strickland, and his children, Karen, Laura and Michael; one niece; and three nephews.

In addition to her parents, Glenna was preceded in death by her nephew, Daniel Stitt IV; her great-nephew, Zackary Oyler; and her stepmother, Florence (McCafferty) Bouch.
