The Butler Area School District’s Fine Arts and Beyond showcase raised more than $41,000 for the Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation on Friday.

Proceeds from the showcase are put toward creative teaching grants and awards for unique education endeavors, scholarships for seniors in financial need pursuing college education and other initiatives. In addition, GTSF contributes to the Kids’ Weekend Backpack Program, which feeds children with food insecurity in kindergarten through fourth grade during weekends and holidays.
