Nancy Cosner

Cosner

Nancy Cosner of St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away on March 19, 2022.

She was born Nov. 26, 1941, and raised in Pittsburgh's North Side. She moved to St. Petersburg, Fla., in the late 1970s to get away from the cold winters, but Pittsburgh was always her home!

Nancy is survived by her husband, C. William (Bill) Cosner; her children, Frank and his wife, Brenda Mueller, of California, and Ramona Cain of Wexford; her grandchildren, Jason Fennell his wife, Erin, Lauren Arnold and her husband, Jack, Brent Mueller, and Connor and Colin Cain; her great-grandchildren, Aidan and Rocky Fennell; and her brothers, Stephen and his wife, Susie Frisco, and Dennis Frisco, both of Pittsburgh.

Nancy quit high school to get married and start a family. She worked as a waitress for many years. Following the passing of her husband, she set out on becoming a nurse. She got her GED, started nursing school and became an LPN in Pittsburgh and worked at Allegheny General Hospital in labor and delivery. Once settled in Florida, she got her RN and worked in various hospitals and clinics in the St. Petersburg and Brooksville area. She loved being a nurse, and she was loved by her patients.

Nancy's life was always about her family. She maintained a close and loving relationship with her family and many friends. She spent many hours bragging about her children’s and grandchildren's accomplishments and milestones. She touched many lives and delivered many babies in her 80 years, and will be missed and thought of often.

COSNER — Per her wishes, all final arrangements and services will be private for Nancy Cosner, who died Saturday, March 19, 2022.
