Bishop Zubik outlines Holy Week liturgies
Bishop David Zubik of the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh will offer Holy Week liturgies at St. Paul Cathedral and several other parishes beginning Palm Sunday weekend, April 9 and 10, and culminating with the celebration of Easter, April 16 and 17.
Participants are also welcome via livestream from the cathedral and parishes.
“Our experiences over the past two years have led us to a deeper experience of Jesus’ death and resurrection, with the mercy that He pours out on all of us, and which we have seen reflected in the dedication of health workers and others,” Bishop Zubik said. ”Palm Sunday through Easter is the holiest week of the Catholic year. Holy Thursday through Easter Sunday commemorate Jesus’ sacrificial suffering, death and resurrection.“
Selected liturgies will be live-streamed at https://diopitt.org/holy-week-2022 on the cathedral website and Facebook, and on on www.ChristianAssociatesTV.org.
