Lutes

Linda M. Lutes, 72, of Grove City, passed away at home on Friday afternoon, March 25, 2022, following a period of declining health.

Linda was born on May 5, 1949, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Kenneth and Mildred Johnston. She married Harry L. Lutes on June 6, 1970.

She was a graduate of Grove City High School in 1967 and Grove City College with a degree in elementary education; and she earned her master’s in education at Slippery Rock University.

Linda retired in 2004 from Slippery Rock Area School District, where she was an elementary school teacher for 35 years, working at both Harmer Elementary School and the Slippery Rock Area Elementary.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Linda is survived by her husband, Harry, at home; two children, Ryan Lutes and wife, Tracy, of Grove City, and Lindsay M. Galus and husband, Bryan, of Zelienople; two grandchildren, Cory and Aria Galus; and three brothers, Alan Johnston of California, Paul Johnston of Florida and Gary Johnston and wife, Kim, of Minnesota.

Her parents preceded Linda in death.

LUTES — A memorial service for Linda M. Lutes,who died Friday, March 25, 2022, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
