These items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

Butler Twp

March 14 — Mark A. Withington, 62, of Butler, was charged with DUI following a March 1 vehicle crash on Old Plank Road, Butler Township.

Police found a pickup truck leaning into a ditch on the side of the road. Withington was helped from the ditch, but police said, he was barely able to stand for a field sobriety tests. Withington later refused to have his blood tested.

Cranberry Twp

March 15 — Jacneth Labarca-Huerta, 41, of Zelienople, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft at Walmart, Cranberry Township.

Police talked with a store employee claiming to witness Labarca-Huerta switching price tags on items. Labarca-Huerta allegedly then rang up items at a lesser value and left the store, failing to pay for about $165 worth of merchandise.

March 11 — Danyelle Snead, 40, of Cranberry Township, was charged with DUI following a May 16 vehicle crash on the 5000 block of Pendelton Way, Cranberry Township.

Police said Snead had reported to 911 dispatchers someone had stolen her car. Her car was found crashed in a parking garage entrance. Police said a witness heard the crash and saw Snead, who appeared to be intoxicated, trying to pull the front bumper off the car.

Police said field sobriety tests showed Snead was impaired. She later refused to have her blood tested.

Jackson Twp

March 16 — Michael D. Harmon, 51, of Jackson Township, was charged with DUI stemming from a March 12 complaint of a reckless driver on Interstate 79.

Police followed a vehicle with a reported plate number and then to Harmon’s home, where they saw him pulling into the garage. Police said field sobriety tests showed Harmon was impaired.

Harmon later refused to have his blood tested. He has two DUI convictions in the past 10 years.

State Police, Butler

March 22 — Billy Abrams, 41, of Butler, was charged with theft by deception after police said he received payment for several home improvement jobs that never were completed or started.

March 15 — Izaac R. Bermea Jr., 29, of Slippery Rock, was arrested and charged with felony drug sales and misdemeanor marijuana possession stemming from a traffic stop on Centreville Pike, Slippery Rock Township.

Police stopped the vehicle for expired registration and dark-tinted windows and said they smelled marijuana in the vehicle. Bermea allowed police to search the vehicle. In the trunk, police said they found one pound of marijuana in a vacuum-sealed bag.

Slippery Rock

March 14 — Donald J. Hawryliak, 55, of Boyers, was charged with DUI related to a March 7 wellness check on a man sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot of Sheetz, Slippery Rock.

Police pulled their cruiser toward the vehicle, and the vehicle’s driver backed out of the parking space and drove onto the road, where police stopped it. Police said field sobriety tests showed Hawryliak was impaired. Hawryliak later refused to have his breath tested.

Zelienople

March 11 — Zachary Roesner, 31, of New Kensington, was charged with simple assault related to a March 10 domestic incident on the 200 block of East Culvert Street.

Police talked with Roesner’s girlfriend, who claimed Roesner punched her in the lip, threw a coffee mug at her and slapped her in the face. Police said they saw marks on the woman consistent with her story.

Police talked with Roesner, who claimed his girlfriend attacked him. Police said they saw no apparent injuries on Roesner and arrested him.
