The Butler County Symphony Association's first garden tour will be held Saturday. The self-guided tour is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Six Butler area gardens are included. A reception will be held at the Meridian Gift Shop Gazebo, 298 Meridian Road.

The tour is a fundraising event for the association. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on the tour day. Tickets are available at the symphony office, 259 S. Main St., between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. through Friday; Meridian Gift Shop, 298 Meridian Road; and Smith's Florist, 136 N. Main St.

The Butler County Historical Society presents “Sports in Butler and Western Pennsylvania” today at Pullman Park.The fourth annual wine and cheese event begins at 5:30 p.m.In attendance will be sports writer Jim O'Brien, who has been named to the U.S. Basketball Writers Hall of Fame.
