Cranberry’s Clary helps GCC win

GROVE CITY — Cranberry Township resident and Grove City College senior left fielder Jesse Clary had two hits in the Wolverines’ 5-1 baseball victory over La Roche.

Grove City is 9-3 on the season, its best start since 2016.

Johnston, Brown score racing wins

WASHINGTON, Pa. 1 Shawn Johnston of Evans City and Brady Brown of Slippery Rock drove horses to victory during harness racing action Wednesday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Johnston drove Kea Island — a winner only once in 39 previous starts — to a triumph in a $9,000 Conditioned Pace. Brown guided Lifeisbutadream to its second win in her last three starts, taking a $6,500 Conditioned Pace.
