College notes

CHAD PAKOZDI (Butler) and MADISON YURICH (Seneca Valley), student athletes at Thiel, made the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll for the fall semester. Both had grade point averages of 3.6 or higher.

CAMI McNANY (A-C Valley) had three hits and five RBI, including a grand slam, in Penn State Behrend’s 11-3 softball win over Sage.

JOCELYN McNANY (Seneca Valley) had two singles, a double and scored three runs in her softball debut for Penn State Behrend.

ASHLEIGH SCHMIDT (Freeport) struck out three in a five-inning complete game to get the softball win for Penn State Behrend.

RYAN GREER (Seneca Valley) scored three goals and added four assists in leading the Westminster men’s lacrosse team, though the Titans dropped a 12-11 overtime decision to Mount Union.

MASON BUSH (Seneca Valley) scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds, but Penn State Altoona saw its men’s basketball season end with an 86-81 ECAC Division III Tournament loss to William Paterson.

JACOB PATTON (Moniteau) broke the Westminster school record in the heptathlon with 4,586 points at the Ohio Northern Polar Bear Final Indoor Qualifier. He is ranked 22nd in the nation.

ELYSE KIGGINS (Seneca Valley) made five saves in her 49 minutes of action as the Grove City women’s lacrosse team defeated Medaille, 15-7.
