Moniteau grad Patton
gets track honor
YOUNGSTOWN — Moniteau graduate and Westminster College senior Jacob Patton was named Overall Most Outstanding Performer at the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Patton won the 60-meter hurdles with a school-record time of 8.39 seconds,. He finished runner-up in the pole vault (11 feet, 3.75 inches) and triple jump (41-5.75), was fourth in the 400 meters (51.21 seconds) and ran a leg of the Titans’ winning 4x400 relay.
Patton tallied 33.50 points in the meet.
SR grad Cessar
all-conference
ERIE — Slippery Rock graduate Barbie Cessar has been named first team All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference swimming. She is a member of the Penn State Behrend squad.
Cessar made first team in the 400-meter medley relay and 200 breaststroke. She made second team in the 200 individual medley, 200 medley relay, 100 breaststroke and 400 free relay.
Pakozdi, Weaver
help set record
YOUNGSTOWN — Butler graduate Chad Pakozdi and Union graduate Quintin Weaver ran legs of Thiel College’s school-record setting distance medley relay at the PAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The duo joined Isaac Evans and Brock Newsome to run the event in 11 minutes, 1.86 seconds.They broke the previous record by 11 seconds.
