NEW YORK — Lincoln Center will honor Cate Blanchett with its 47th Chaplin Award at the arts organization’s annual fundraising gala.

Film at Lincoln Center announced the award for Blanchett on Friday. It will be presented to her on April 25 at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall.

“We are thrilled to welcome Cate Blanchett back to Film at Lincoln Center, where three of her films have previously screened as part of the New York Film Festival,” said Lesli Klainberg, executive director of Film at Lincoln Center, in a statement. “Ms. Blanchett’s career includes extraordinary performances in films ranging from small independent efforts to major studio franchises and with some of the most renowned directors of our time. It is our privilege to dedicate an evening of celebration to her, and add one more accolade to her many well-deserved awards.”

The previous Chaplin Award Gala, which honored Spike Lee, was postponed more than a year by the pandemic and was ultimately held last September. Blanchett, a two-time Academy Award winner for her performances in “Blue Jasmine” and “The Aviator,” recently co-starred in Guillermo del Toro’s “Nightmare Alley” and Adam McKay’s “Don’t Look Up.”

LONDON — Queen Elizabeth II tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday and is experiencing mild, cold-like symptoms, Buckingham Palace said, adding that she still plans to carry on working. The diagnosis prompted concern and get-well wishes from across Britain's political spectrum for the famously stoic 95-year-old.

Britain's longest-reigning monarch and a fixture in the life of the nation, the queen reached the milestone of 70 years on the throne on Feb. 6, the anniversary of the 1952 death of her father, King George VI. She will turn 96 on April 21.

The palace said the queen, who has been fully vaccinated and had a booster shot, would continue with "light" duties at Windsor Castle over the coming week.

"She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines," the palace said in a statement.

The queen has a busy schedule over the next few months of her Platinum Jubilee year, and is scheduled to attend in-person public engagements in the coming weeks, including a diplomatic reception at Windsor on March 2 and the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey on March 14.

On March 29, she has a remembrance service at Westminster Abbey for Philip, who died in April 2021 at 99.

Public celebrations of the Platinum Jubilee are scheduled over a long weekend June 2-5, with festivities including a military parade, a day of horse racing and neighborhood parties.

The queen is the latest monarch from around the world to catch COVID-19. Queen Margrethe of Denmark, 82, and Spain's King Felipe VI, 54, both tested positive for the illness earlier in February and had mild symptoms.

LOS ANGELES — Pop superstar Justin Bieber will no longer perform as planned Sunday in Las Vegas after a member of his team tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a recent report from TMZ, the “Ghost” hitmaker himself tested positive for the coronavirus and is feeling OK. Bieber’s management did not immediately respond Sunday to the Los Angeles Times’ request for confirmation.

“Due to positive test results within the Justice tour family, we will unfortunately have to postpone Sunday’s show in Las Vegas,” read a statement released Saturday via the official Instagram page of Bieber’s Justice concert tour.

“Justin is of course hugely disappointed, but the health and safety of his crew and fans is always his number one priority. ... Justin is excited to bring this spectacular show to his Las Vegas fans as soon as possible.”

The Grammy winner was scheduled to appear at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena on Sunday before heading to Glendale, Ariz., on Tuesday and performing at Inglewood’s the Forum on Thursday. As of Saturday, the Vegas show has been moved to June 28, and refunds are available for ticket holders who can’t make the new date.

After stopping in Inglewood this week, the Justice tour is scheduled to to move on to San Jose’s SAP Center (Feb. 28 and March 2), Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center (March 4) and L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena (March 7 and 8). Team Bieber has not yet commented on whether any of those dates might also need to be rescheduled.

Last Sunday, the Biebs was spotted jamming out to the Dr. Dre-led Super Bowl halftime show at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium, where protocols called for those in attendance to show proof of vaccination or recent negative test results.

The Las Vegas show postponement comes months after he collected eight Grammy nominations, including record and song of the year for “Peaches.” The 27-year-old singer is among the leading contenders coming into this year’s ceremony, which takes place April 3 at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.
