Michelle Lynn Klinefelter Porti, 51, passed away Feb. 16, 2022, in Sentara Obici Hospital in Virginia.

Michelle was a graduate of Christopher Newport University and received her master’s degree from Virginia Tech. She was working on her doctorate from Liberty University.

She was a teacher in Portsmouth and Isle of Wight County, and home-schooled her children through high school.

She was a member of Holland Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 31 years, Robert Edward Porti; her mother, Diane Lucas Klinefelter; her daughter, Hannah Porti Miller (Derek); her son, Jakkob Alexander Porti; her sister, Deborah McGinley (Jeremy); and her grandpuppy, Waylon.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father, John Robert Klinefelter; and her brother, Joseph Klinefelter.

PORTI — A funeral service for Michelle Lynn Klinefelter Porti, who died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Holland Baptist Church with Pastor Matthew Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday in WRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, 206 W. 4th Ave., Franklin, Va., and suggests that memorial donations be made to Holland Baptist Church Children’s Ministries and Missions, 6519 Holland Road, Suffolk, VA 23437.
