James Zimmerman
James R. “Jim” Zimmerman, 68, of Forward Township, Evans City, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022.
Born Dec. 18, 1953, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Joseph and Nellie Colbert Zimmerman.
Jim took pride in owning and operating his business, Zimmerman’s Transmission Services. He loved working on cars and enjoyed attending car cruises. He also had a love for camping and trains.
Jim was a jokester, but will be most remembered as a caring and generous man with a huge heart. He gave to others unconditionally and was everyone’s friend. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 22 years, Deborah Yeager Zimmerman, whom he married on Sept. 9, 1999; his children and stepchildren, Dennis Schermock (Tara), Rachel Zimmerman (Jeff), Jimmy Zimmerman (Michelle), Bobby Gettings (Kelly) and Jessa Farseth (Aaron); and his grandchildren, Alley, Andy, Michael, Cy, Bob, Mike, Tommy, Sophia, Peter and Ryder.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his seven siblings.
ZIMMERMAN — A friends and family gathering for James R. “Jim” Zimmerman, who died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.
