Police Reports
The following items were collected from various police departments:
Feb. 3 — Ryan L. Hewett, 38, of Butler, was charged with several first-offense misdemeanors involving driving under the influence of a controlled substance and several for use and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said Hewett showed signs of impairment during field tests and admitted to alcohol and heroin use. Five stamp bags of heroin were found in his vehicle.
Feb. 3 — Danna R. Ibrahim, 22, of Slippery Rock, was charged with retail theft in connection to an incident that occurred Dec. 15. Police said Ibrahim attempted to leave the store with nine items with an approximate retail value of $200.
Feb. 3 — Joselyn Forty, 36, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanors including use and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop Jan. 30.
Police said three empty stamp bags were seen in Forty’s vehicle, which led to it being impounded. Police said that during a search, 25 stamp bags of heroin, five crack rocks, needles, a crack pipe and thirteen other empty stamp bags were found.
Feb. 3 — Raymond E. Reges, 71, of Butler, was charged with felony selling or transferring a firearm by false written statement and misdemeanor unsworn falsification to authorities in relation to an incident in Center Township.
Police said Reges was denied the sale of a firearm he attempted to purchase while having a prior criminal history that would prevent him from purchasing.
Feb. 2 — Richard J. Taylor, 28, of Slippery Rock, was charged with felony robbery and misdemeanors theft and receiving stolen property related to an incident in West Liberty borough. Police said Taylor pinned someone to a chair and stole a purse.
Feb. 1 — Kimberlee R. Carbone, 46, of New Castle, was charged with felony receiving stolen property and three misdemeanors, including driving under the influence of a controlled substance in Butler Township.
During a traffic stop, police said it was discovered the vehicle Carbone was driving was stolen. Police said two smoking pipes, a digital scale, two metal scrapers and 12 films of Naloxone were found in Carbone’s purse and impairment was detected after field tests.
Jan. 31 — Cassandra A. Miller, 34, of Cabot, was charged with a misdemeanor for trespassing on her estranged husband’s property Jan. 26 in Summit Township.
Police said Miller initiated a verbal confrontation and shoved her estranged spouse. Previously, Miller was told by police she was not allowed on the property.
Jan. 31 — Gary L. Shingledecker, 54, of Grove City, was charged with felony selling or transferring a firearm by false written statement and misdemeanor unsworn falsification to authorities related to an incident in Summit Township.
Police said Shingledecker tried to purchase a 9 mm handgun in October 2020 despite being convicted of crimes that would prevent him from doing so. Police also said Shingledecker falsely answered a related questionnaire.
Jan. 31 — Nicole A. Kearns, 19, of Renfrew, was charged with multiple misdemeanors for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana in Summit Township.
Police said Kearns admitted to drinking and smoking prior to driving and a marijuana cigar was found in the car. Traces of alcohol and marijuana were found in Kearns’ blood following a test.
