College notes

ELIJAH WHITE (Portersville Christian, Zelienople) scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds in Grove City’s 72-36 men’s basketball win over Saint Vincent.

JAMES PARENTI (Moniteau) took sixth place in the weight throw (46 feet, 1 inch) and seventh in the shot put (40-10.25) for Grove City at Mount Union’s Jim Wuske Invitational.

MATT KARENBAUER (Knoch) took second place in the 500-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly for Penn State Behrend’s men’s swimming team in a 174-82 loss to Gannon. Karenbauer also swam a leg of the runner-up 200 freestyle relay.

REEGAN MALIS (Butler) rolled a 196-game for Penn State Behrend’s women’s bowling team in an 899-728 win over New Jersey City.

BARBIE CESSAR (Slippery Rock) was runner-up in the 100 breast stroke (1 minute, 112.13 seconds) and 200 breast stroke (2:34.28) in Penn State Behrend’s women’s swim team’s 215-70 loss to Gannon.

CODY SCHNUR (Butler) had eight kills on 13 attempts for a .615 attack percentage and added five blocks in Penn State Behrend’s 3-0 men’s volleyball win over SUNY Potsdam.

CHAD PAKOZDI (Butler) and QUINTON WEAVER (Union) ran legs of the Thiel 4,000-meter distance relay, which placed second at the Mount Union Jim Wuske Invitational. The relay’s time was 11 minutes, 13.69 seconds.
