Health system reducing employee health care costs

Butler Hospital System relieved the cost of health care for its employees by rolling back requirements on home host deductibles and coinsurance for 2022 on its applicable PPO healthcare plans for employees.

According to a Thursday news release from BHS, the insurance rate rollback is an effort to retain and recruit employees to the system at a time when staffing has become an urgent need.

Open Enrollment for 2022 began Nov. 29. BHS’s benefit package is affordable, diverse and employee-centered, and employees were able to choose the options that best meet their specific needs, according to the news release.

The 2022 benefit plan includes multiple plans and carriers from which to choose that include first dollar coverage when using BHS facilities and providers—and no home host deductible or coinsurance on applicable employee PPO plans, the news release said.
