David Kelley

David Russell Kelley, 75, of Slippery Rock passed away at his residence Sunday morning Dec. 12, 2021, following a short illness.

Born Feb. 24, 1946, in Lawrence County, he was the son of the late Paul Ernest and Geraldine Mae Wilson Kelley.

Dave was retired from Portersville Sales and Testing.

While being a mechanic by trade, he also enjoyed building model cars, vehicle reconstructions, and collecting and restoring antique cars. He loved planting flowers and making his yard look nice.

He is survived by his loving wife, Esther Plate Kelley, whom he married March 2, 1965; his children, Mark Kelley of Arnold, Pa., Michele (Keith) Sparkenbaugh of Richmond, Va., and Carol (John Vidrick) Wickline of Mercer; his grandchildren, Rachael (Marshal) Simpson of Mercer and Taylor Krumpe of Grove City; his great-grandchildren, Matilynn, Kooper, Octayvia, Brian and Olivia; and his cat, Squeek.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Carl Wickline III; his brother, Paul Kelley, and his cat, Henry.

Kelley — Cremation services for David Russell Kelley, who died Sunday Dec. 12, 2021, have been entrusted to the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 387 Main St., Prospect.

Memorial suggestion in Dave’s memory would be to the donor’s choice of any local animal shelters.
