Freeport river fest set this weekend
Freeport will host a festival called September By the River on Saturday and Sunday.
The festival, hosted by the Freeport Renaissance Association, was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The festival will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Morning activities on Saturday will consist of a Library New To You Sale and yoga.
Saturday afternoon and evening activities at the event include Lisa Marie's School of Dance performance, raffles, food, vendors, Giggles the clown, a collection of solo artists, Family Traditional Band, and children's games from noon to 8 p.m.
On Sunday, events include mini kayak and paddle board experiences, a petting zoo, horse-drawn wagon rides, Kiski Valley Community Band, and Cory Moyta.
