Freeport wins 4th game in row

Freeport out-scored Derry 22-5 in the third quarter Friday night to secure its fourth straight victory, 68-37, over the Trojans.

The Yellowjackets (6-3, 2-1) received 14 points from Vincent Clark and 13 from Brady Sullivan.

Freeport hosts Armstrong Monday night.

Butler resident Dacia Lewandowski scored 20 points and North Catholic (6-3, 4-0) stayed unbeaten in section play with a 60-46 win over Laurel Friday night.

The Trojanettes led by seven at halftime before limiting Laurel to five points in the fourth quarter.

It is the first loss of the season for North Clarion (7-1).

Hailey Kriebel led the win with 15 points while Keira Croyle and Dominika Logue both scored 13.

Union (6-1) has won six straight games.

Slippery Rock split a meet with Oil City Thursday, the girls winning, 104-66, while the boys dropped a 100-52 decision.

Natalie Double, Mollie Massella and Grace Olshanski all won two individual events for the Rocket girls. Cody Hartle and Connor Wallace won two events each for the SR boys.

Bowling

Freeport's boys and girls scored 7-0 sweeps of Riverview on Friday.

Colin Cummings paced the Yellowjacket boys with a 599 series and games of 203 and 200. Eli Abbott had a 224 game and Dylan Granata had a 568 series and 199 game.

Julia Cummings turned in a 687 series for the girls, rolling games of 245, 226 and 216. Mackensie Livingston had a 198 game.
