These items were collected from various police departments:

Dec. 15 — Avery Harshbarger, 20, was charged with engaging in criminal conspiracy and theft of moveable property after being connected to an incident regarding a stolen vehicle.Police said Harshbarger was taken into custody and confessed to assisting in stealing and operating a vehicle and stealing the vehicle owner's purse, which contained a Pennsylvania driver's license and items amounting to approximately $150, with Elijah J. Claypoole.Police said on Dec. 14 Claypoole was found with the keys of a vehicle reported stolen on Dec. 2.Dec. 14 — Elijah J. Claypoole, 22, was charged with engaging in criminal conspiracy and theft of moveable property after Claypoole was found with the keys of a stolen vehicle.Police said Claypoole was identified next to a vehicle reported stolen Dec. 2. Police said Claypoole was taken into custody and confessed to stealing the vehicle, as well as the vehicle owner's purse which contained a Pennsylvania driver's license and items amounting to approximately $150.Dec. 13 — Sierra Lynn Summers, 26, of Slippery Rock, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness relating to an incident Dec. 6.Police said they responded to a report Dec. 6 of a female passed out in a vehicle near Lowe's, later identified as Summers, who said she used illegal substances that morning.Police said they found a glass drug pipe, four used hypodermic syringes, three used heroin stamp bags and a spoon in Summers' vehicle.

Dec. 13 — Robert J. Hays was charged with a first-offense DUI stemming from a traffic stop on Sept. 4 in Butler Township.Police said they smelled an alcoholic beverage in the vehicle, and that Hays showed impairment in a field sobriety test,.Hays blood-alcohol content level was 0.084% and in Pennsylvania a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.Dec. 13 — Michael Emilio Bermudez, 20, of Pittsburgh, was charged with a first-offense DUI stemming from a traffic stop conducted Oct. 16 in Center Township.Police said they stopped the vehicle for traveling 56 mph in a 35 mph zone, and weaving within its lane. Police said they smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle, and Bermudez said he smoked a few hours prior.A blood test found caffeine, 11-Hydroxy Delta-9 THC, Delta-9 Carboxy THC and Delta-9 THC in Bermudez's system.

Dec. 5 — Davey Paul May, 45, of Jeanerette, La., was charged with first-offense DUI stemming from a traffic stop on Dec. 5 near New Castle Street.Police said they observed a truck, later found to be driven by May, traveling erratically and crossing the center yellow line multiple times.During the traffic stop, police detected an odor of alcohol emanating from his vehicle, and May said he consumed eight beers prior to driving. He did not consent to a blood test.
