New Year's German pork dinner slated

HARMONY — The Harmony Museum will offer a traditional German pork dinner on New Year's Eve on a carry-out basis.

The $15 meal will include roasted pork loin, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, applesauce, roll and butter and a cookie.

The traditional pork meal is thought to bring good luck for the new year in German tradition.

Reservations, payment and a preferred pickup time between 5 and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 31 are available online at harmonymuseum.org or by calling the museum at 724-452-7341.

The last day to make a reservation is Dec. 27.

Due to the Harmony Silvester New Year's Eve celebration that will be ongoing, those picking up dinners must park elsewhere in the borough and walk to the museum's Stewart Hall.

More information on Harmony Silvester activities on New Year's Eve is available on the museum's website.
