Butler-Freeport Community Trail officials announced that the caboose along the trail in Cabot will be open for shopping from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Trail-themed hoodies and long-sleeve T-shirts, books and other merchandise will be for sale in the caboose, which is decorated for the holiday season.

Memberships also will be available.

In addition, trail officials announced a last day hike to be held Dec. 31.

Those who are interested can meet at 2 p.m. at the caboose parking lot at Center and Hembold avenues in Cabot. Hot chocolate will be served after the hike.
