Bill Schaudt of Cranberry Township carves a cardinal from white pine outside the Mars Area High School during the 37th annual Mars Area Fall Craft Show on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021. The show, which featured roughly 250 vendors, provided opportunity for those from southern Butler County and the surrounding area to buy and sell handmade goods. Schaudt said he sold out of his top-selling product, a wooden U.S. flag with the Pledge of Allegiance carved out. Lucille Jenkins of Monroeville, who participated in the show for her first year, sold wind chimes made from items she found at yard sales, flea markets and other secondhand bazaars. Lois Cridge of Gibsonia said she and her husband, Al, were able to find quality goods made by local artisans, such as artwork with snowmen made from an old casement window. “There’s a lot of different things here,” Lois Cridge added.Alex J.
