CALIFORNIA, Pa. — Seneca Valley graduate and California (Pa.) University graduate student Eric Hudanick has been named CoSIDA Academic All-District in football for the third time.

The Vulcans' right tackle started all 10 games this season and started the final 32 games of his college career at that position. He started 10 games at left tackle his freshman year.

Hudanick holds a 3.72 grade point average in graduate school while pursuing a master's degree in business administration with a concentration in management.

ERIE — Cranberry Township resident and North Catholic graduate Kenny Fukon scored a career-high 26 points for Penn State Behrend in a recent men's basketball win over Allegheny.Knoch graduate PJ Gourley scored 15 points in that game.

INDIANA — Kyle Grasha scored his second consecutive hat trick, but Butler's varsity hockey team dropped a 4-3 decision to Indiana Thursday night.Brody Simko had three assists , Parker Worsley and Trevor Ackleson adding one assist each. Goaltender EJ Delaney made 29 saves.Butler plays Shaler Monday at the Alpha Ice Complex.

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Carolina Beach, trained by Bill Bercury and owned by Renee Bercury, claimed victory in harness racing action Friday at The Meadows.The 7-year-old gelding won a $9,300 Conditioned Pace.
