3:51 a.m. Nov. 8 — Tiana Washington-Wideman, 27, of Butler, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor simple assault, related to an incident at her home on Kaufman Drive, Butler.Police said they had been at the home earlier in the evening for an argument between Washington-Wideman and a man, and when officers left both were calm and agreed to one of them leaving for the night to prevent further incident.Police said they were called back to the home because Washington-Wideman had grabbed the man by the shirt. Police said she admitted that he tried to restrain her, and she bit him.11:44 a.m. Nov. 7 — Nicholas J. Scott, 26, of Butler, was arrested and charged with simple, assault related to a domestic dispute at his home on Second Street.Police said they arrived at the scene and found Scott outside with his girlfriend. Police said the girlfriend accused Scott of shoving her into a wall during an argument. She told officers she was then on a phone call, and Scott reached for the phone and hit her in the face.Police said the girlfriend had visible injuries.Nov. 6 — Levean L. Smith, 22, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors tampering with evidence, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession, related to an Oct. 25 traffic stop on Walker Avenue, Butler.Police said they stopped the vehicle because it matched the description of a call for a welfare check involving a woman. Police said Smith had been in the driver's seat as they stopped the vehicle, and her license was DUI suspended.Police said while waiting for a tow truck, Smith gathered items from the car and a glass jar that marijuana spilled from. Police said they asked Smith to hand over the jar to which she refused and threw the jar toward Brugh Avenue. Police later located the jar and marijuana.Nov. 6 — Aaron S. Wiemelt, 32, of Butler, was charged with criminal mischief after allegedly intentionally breaking things inside his apartment building.Police said Wiemelt's landlord turned over security footage of Wiemelt smashing the entryway. The landlord also told officers Wiemelt had damaged security cameras, lights, a key box and the fire alarm, among other things.Police said in all, the landlord reported the damaged property had a combined value of about $2,258.

10:14 a.m., Nov. 10 — A tanker truck driven by Michael Mezza, 56, of Edenburg, flipped on to its passenger side after striking a curb and a ditch along Route 8, slid across the road, hit another curb and flipped back on to its wheels near Butler RV Center & Auto Sales. Mezza was taken to Allegheny General Hospital with injuries. The truck was towed from the scene.Nov. 9 — Melva Vantine, 43, of Valencia, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with injuries after the vehicle she was driving struck a parked vehicle along Hansen Avenue. Her vehicle was disabled and towed from the scene.
